"How could one expect from a destiny that it give victory to a just cause, when hardly anyone is to be found, who is willing to wholly devote to a just cause?" [Sophie Scholl]
On the 22nd February 1943, in Munich, Hans and Sophie Scholl were convicted for high treason of the German People. The brother and sister belonged to the group called "The White Rose". 4 days before the execution they had been arrested inside Munich University, while they were secretly distributing flyers against the nazi regime.
The bleak hour of nazism and war was the context in which a story of extraordinary humanity was born, something able to fill one's life with joy. Up to the ultimate sacrifice.
This short solo performance, is not telling Sophie Scholl's story, it rather presents the public with lyrical images about the life of such a beautiful soul, opening the minds and hearts to reflection.
